This piece was created in roughly about a month or so. It was created for Savannah College of Art and Design - Savannah Campus's student run newspaper, Honeydripper. It was apart of their annual zine which you can find by clicking the button below.
The prompt for the zine was "music that inspires you". I chose My Demons by STARSET as it was something that I listened to consistently during middle school going into high school. Even today, you can still find My Demons in one of my many original character themed playlists that I create on Spotify.
The lyric from the song that stuck with me the most was "Mayday, mayday, the ship is slowly sinking" from the first verse and "I know you're watching, I can feel you out there" from the second verse. Another one of my inspirations for this was Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
What I wanted to convey with this was the feeling of being watched, a subtle sense of dread, and a hint of the feeling of loneliness. I personally don't think I hit all those marks, but I am my own worst critic as are most artists when talking about their own work.
