Discord

While I applied to be a producer on The Scenic Route, being proficient in Discord helped a lot.

My role regarding the Discord revolves organization and managing channels and roles.

We have 3 separate sections: Pre-Production, Production, & Post-Production. We also have a channel that has all he important links for organization, such as the Google Drive folder and the Google Sheet that we have been using for tracking since May of 2024.

As soon as I found out that I was going to be the producer of this film back in May of 2024, I created this sheet to make things easier for tracking for myself, my director, and the crew.

Google Drive

Creating the Google Drive with in-depth folders was also very important to our organizaion system. We had an unfortuneate situation over the Winter break of 2024 through 2025 where we almost lost a lot of our files due to Dropbox doing an update were we temporarly lost access to our class's Dropbox.

Luckily we had this Drive set up since the beginning of production and had sent assets into our film's Discord server. Our director and I also had some files downloaded on our personal devices so fixing the issue was not a problem-- just a bit nerve wracking.

But we prevail!
